How we source our prices

Transparency matters, so here's exactly how TV Rex works.

Where the prices come from

We collect prices directly from the Australian retailers we track - from their public product listings and feeds. Each product is matched into a single listing so you see every seller's price for the same item in one place.

How often they update

We refresh prices on a regular schedule, and we record every change so you can see a product's price history over time - handy for knowing whether "on sale" is actually a good price. The "last checked" time is shown against each retailer.

How we rank

Simple: the cheapest genuine current price comes first. We don't let commissions influence the order. Where we can, we filter out listings that aren't a true like-for-like (wrong edition, accessories-only, and so on) so the comparison is fair.

Price alerts

Set a watch on any product - either "any price drop" or "alert me under $X" - and we'll email you when it happens. You're in full control: turn any alert off with one click.
